The Corvallis Indoor Park runs as a co-op, which means that every member has a role in helping out. To keep membership costs low, we ask each member to volunteer for 4 jobs a year- 2 in the fall and 2 in the spring (toy cleaning is equal to 2 jobs). You will choose your jobs from the list of available options when you register. Once you sign up for a job, you are responsible for showing up to complete it. You may also trade with another member or pay another member to complete your job; this must be facilitated by you and is not the responsibility of the Jobs Manager. Please contact CIP for the list of people who are willing to pick up extra jobs.
Job Descriptions
Closing (1 job): Clean up toys, put away larger toys and furnishings, wipe down tables and high chairs in the eating area, and take out the garbage. Please arrive at 3:30pm on the day of your job and expect to spend 30-45 minutes to complete the work.
Vacuuming (1 job): Vacuum the entire park, paying special attention to the area around the climbing structures and the eating area. This job also includes emptying the recycling bin in the outside recycling containers. Please arrive at 3:30pm on the day of your job and expect to spend 30-45 minutes to complete the work.
Party Help (1 job): Assist the Party Manager with either party preparation and set-up, which may include setting up tables, hanging decorations and preparing food, or after-party clean up. Parties are generally held for 2 hours in the late morning; the Party Manager will assign you an exact time to arrive for your job. Expect to spend 1+ hours to complete the work.
Toy Cleaning (2 jobs): General cleaning of all toys at CIP. You will use the dishwasher in the church kitchen if it is in service or wipe toys with a bleach solution if it is not. You may also be asked to wipe down larger toys with a bleach or other cleaning solution. Children are not allowed to accompany you due to the use of chemicals. Toy cleanings are usually scheduled from 9am to 11am on select Saturday mornings.
